About The Outpost
Terms of Service
These terms explain the rules for using The Outpost website, purchasing our hand-cut soaps, and interacting with our business.
Last updated: July 30, 2026
1. Agreement to These Terms
These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of The Outpost website, as well as purchases, inquiries, communications, and other interactions with The Outpost. In these Terms, “The Outpost,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the legal owner or operator of The Outpost, whether operated as a sole proprietorship, limited liability company, or other lawful business form. “You” and “your” refer to any visitor, customer, individual, business, or other person using the website.
By visiting the website, submitting information, contacting us, or placing an order, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the website or place an order.
2. Eligibility and Accurate Information
You must be at least 18 years old, or use the website with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian, to make a purchase. You agree to provide current, complete, and accurate contact, billing, shipping, and payment information and to update that information when necessary.
3. Permitted Website Use
You may use the website only for lawful personal or business purposes. You may not interfere with the website, attempt unauthorized access, introduce malicious code, scrape or harvest information through automated means, impersonate another person, submit fraudulent information, or use the website in a manner that violates applicable law or the rights of others.
4. Product Information and Handcrafted Variations
We make reasonable efforts to present product descriptions, ingredients, fragrances, weights, dimensions, photographs, prices, and availability accurately. Hand-cut and small-batch soaps may naturally vary in color, shape, texture, appearance, fragrance, or finish. These variations are part of the character of handcrafted products and are not necessarily defects.
Colors and other visual details may appear differently depending on your screen, browser, lighting, and device. We may correct errors, update information, discontinue products, or limit quantities at any time.
5. Ingredients, Allergies, and Personal Use
Please review all available ingredient and fragrance information before purchasing or using a product. You are responsible for determining whether a product is suitable for your individual needs, allergies, sensitivities, or preferences.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, soap products are intended for external use only. Avoid contact with eyes, keep products out of reach of children and pets when appropriate, and discontinue use if irritation occurs. Website content is provided for general product information and is not medical advice. Our products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition.
6. Orders and Acceptance
Submitting an order is an offer to purchase and does not guarantee acceptance. We may accept, decline, cancel, or limit an order for product unavailability, pricing or listing errors, suspected fraud, payment issues, address problems, quantity limits, violation of these Terms, or other reasonable business purposes.
If we cancel an order after payment has been collected, we will issue an appropriate refund to the original payment method.
7. Prices, Taxes, and Payment
Prices are stated in United States dollars unless otherwise noted and may change without notice. Applicable taxes, shipping charges, and other disclosed fees may be added at checkout. You authorize us and our payment service providers to charge the payment method you submit for the total shown at checkout.
We are not responsible for fees imposed by a bank, card issuer, or payment provider.
8. Final Sale of Soap Products
All soap sales are final. Because soap is a personal-care product, it cannot be returned, exchanged, or restocked after purchase. Please carefully review product descriptions, ingredients, fragrance information, and quantities before completing your order.
This final-sale policy does not limit remedies that may be required by law and does not prevent us from addressing an item that arrives damaged, defective, or different from what was ordered. See our Returns & Exchanges Policy for details.
9. Shipping and Delivery
Shipping, handling, delivery, and pickup are governed by our Shipping & Handling Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms. Delivery dates are estimates and are not guaranteed. We are not responsible for delays caused by carriers, weather, incorrect addresses, service interruptions, or events outside our reasonable control.
10. Promotions and Coupon Codes
Promotions, discounts, and coupon codes may be subject to expiration dates, exclusions, quantity limits, and separate terms. Unless stated otherwise, offers cannot be combined, have no cash value, cannot be applied retroactively, and may be modified or withdrawn at any time. We may cancel orders involving misuse or unauthorized distribution of promotional codes.
11. Communications
When you contact us, place an order, or provide contact information, you authorize us to communicate with you about your inquiry, transaction, order, delivery, pickup, or customer-service request. Promotional emails may be sent in accordance with applicable law. You may opt out of marketing messages at any time through the unsubscribe method provided or through our Your Privacy Choices page.
12. Privacy
Your use of the website is also subject to our Privacy Policy. Please review it to understand how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect information.
13. Intellectual Property
The website and its text, photographs, product images, artwork, logos, branding, graphics, page layouts, icons, and code are owned by or licensed to The Outpost and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. You may use the website for ordinary shopping and informational purposes only. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, sell, license, create derivative works from, or commercially exploit website content without prior written permission.
14. Reviews, Feedback, and Other Submissions
If you voluntarily submit a review, testimonial, photograph, suggestion, or other content, you represent that you have the right to submit it and that it is not unlawful, deceptive, defamatory, infringing, or harmful. You grant The Outpost a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, edit, display, and share the submission for customer-service, operational, and promotional purposes, subject to applicable privacy law.
15. Third-Party Services and Links
The website may use or link to third-party services such as payment processors, shipping carriers, maps, analytics providers, social platforms, or ecommerce systems. Those services operate under their own terms and privacy practices. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party content, availability, security, or conduct.
16. Website Availability and Disclaimer
We work to keep the website accurate, secure, and available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the website and its content are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties not expressly stated in writing. Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty or consumer right that cannot lawfully be waived.
17. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Outpost and its owner, members, managers, employees, representatives, contractors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from website use, reliance on website information, third-party services, delayed communications, unauthorized access, product misuse, or events outside our reasonable control.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for a claim connected to a product or transaction will not exceed the amount paid to The Outpost for the product or transaction giving rise to the claim. These limitations do not apply where liability cannot lawfully be limited.
18. Indemnification
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless The Outpost and its owner, members, managers, employees, representatives, contractors, and service providers from claims, losses, liabilities, and reasonable expenses arising from your unlawful or improper website use, violation of these Terms, infringement of another person’s rights, fraudulent activity, or content you submit.
19. Governing Law and Venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Unless applicable law requires otherwise, disputes relating to these Terms, the website, or a transaction with The Outpost will be brought in a state or federal court with jurisdiction in St. Johns County, Florida. Before filing a legal action, the parties are encouraged to attempt a good-faith informal resolution.
20. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes in our website, products, practices, or legal obligations. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. Changes do not retroactively alter a completed transaction unless required by law or agreed by the parties.
21. General Provisions
If any provision is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, Shipping & Handling Policy, Returns & Exchanges Policy, and any terms presented at checkout, form the agreement governing your website use and applicable purchases.
